Tiger Woods Ends 2-Year Victory Drought
Two years after his life and career came crashing down, Tiger Woods is a winner again. One shot behind with two holes to play, Woods finally looked like the player who dominated golf for so much of his career. YES!!!! I am so happy! I know he fooked up big time in his personal life, and he’s suffered the public humiliation and loss of his family (& a significant amount of money, I’m sure), but he’s still my favorite athlete, and I just want him to get back to winning tournaments again. Frankly, his downward spiral has been baffling. How do you go from being 10 times better than every other golfer in the world, to being unable to win a single tournament? He’s been dealing with pressure and high expectations his entire life, so I don’t know how this could have screwed him up so bad. Heck, I’ve joked that maybe the problem is that he’s NOT out banging multiple women anymore. Perhaps that’s what helped him clear-headed enough to focus during his golf games? Well, he’s back now (maybe he got laid recently?), and I just hope that this is the beginning of a return to greatness.
Herman Cain Suspending 2012 Campaign For President
Herman Cain announced on Saturday that he is suspending his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination. The news comes in the wake of Cain being accused of having an extramarital affair and sexual harassment charges from more than a decade ago resurfacing. Goodbye, good riddance. I won’t get into the stuff about his personal life, but this does make it clear to me that he was never seriously running for President. I think he was just running to enhance his profile. Now he’ll follow in the footsteps of Sarah Palin. He’ll write another book, be able to charge more for speaking engagements, and most likely be a paid commentator on Fox News Channel. That’s all this was every about. I bet even he was surprised to see himself rising in the polls. I saw this because he ran a bad campaign, he was unprepared to stand up to the type of scrutiny that candidates get these days. That’s why he had no clear foreign policy other than typical right-wing talking points about fighting terrorism and backing Israel @ all costs, and no real economic plan, until he pulled 999 out of his arse. If he had been running a serious campaign, he would have already had an answer, even a flimsy one, for when the sexual harassment charges came out. He knew he had that in his background, so he should have anticipated what would happen if it were every found out. But he didn’t think anyone would look that deeply into his background, but that’s what the press does, especially these days, so he should have known better. What a doofus.

42 and stilling going strong, both commercially and creatively. I am impressed. When I look @ his discography & see all the albums his put out, and all the hits his had, I remember when the very notion of a rapper, no matter how good he or she is, lasting these long in the industry, would have seemed unthinkable. Now, here he is, competing with rappers that are young enough to be his children, and he’s not only holding his own, he’s still a major success, able to sell out whole arenas across the globe. Good for him!
